ctrl-ocp-1 (Controller Home Cabinet Power 1)

Initial thoughts

I cannot remember what I did, I failed to document what I was doing.

It has a power switch and a fuse in the front.

There are 3 lights. I assume one is for 5V, and 2 is for 12V DC jacks.

I had to duct-tape the front to cover the ethernet ports, etc.

Measurements

No idea. The controller no longer responds. I don't feel it's worth my time to attempt to fix this when I'm already working on the replacement.

Hardware

The chassis is salvaged from a non-working TP-Link TL-SG1016D (16-Gbit port switch).

It (probably) has an ESP8266EX microcontroller with a Tensilica L106 32-bit cpu running at 160Mhz, with 4MB of flash memory.

Generic 3A variable DC-DC converter (used to convert 12V input to 5V output). The 5V output isused by the ESP controller and passed to USB at the back.

Prophet functionality

The ESP controller has stopped responding completely.

Thoughts

Concerns, missing things, etc

The device can actually shut down te load if/when the battery gets low, except the controller no longer responds...
